ABOUT THE RUN

The Rhodes Dryland Traverse is an exceptional event and everybody deserves to know about this annual highlight on the trail running calendar. Everyone who has been part of this unique weekend in the Klein Karoo will testify that this is a race everyone should experience, at least once (or twice a year!)

The Winter Run is an initiative born from our core focus as well as passion for the race and its participants. By joining the Rhodes Dryland Traverse Strava Club and participating in the virtual Winter Run wherever you are, is an opportunity to become part of the Dryland family. It will make you part of a unique group of people that will most certainly motivate you while you’re chasing your personal fitness goals.

SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE

This close-knit running community consists of people from all walks of life with tons of enthusiasm and compassion.

In anticipation of the event taking place later this year, we want to encourage and motivate everyone to keep on doing what they love. Therefore the Winter Run gives you a reason to train and in doing so stay fit and healthy. The event also creates a platform and opportunity to donate and contribute to supporting the most vulnerable through these trying times and cold winter months.

All donations will be used to support food relief efforts in the Klein Karoo and therefore make a difference in someone’s life.

LUCKY DRAW PRIZES

We won’t be having podium winners, as everyone’s terrain is different, but our partners from Rhodes Quality, Biogen and First Ascent are on board and will be spoiling spot prize winners with their amazing products. You even stand a chance to win a Standard Team Entry for the real Rhodes Dryland Traverse taking place in November 2020! Challenge your friends, tag us and be part of something really special.
